The Book Sale of 3rd, 4th and 5th of October was a tremendous success, with literally and physically one tonne of books walking out the door.
Today, the 30th October 2020 is a sad day for the committee, our members and our visitors with the last of the 15,000 books, games, CD’s, DVD’s being packed into boxes. We are now in hiberation, waiting for a temporary new home from which to run a pilot library. We have a possibility for mid-November!
Moving into hiberation phase was force with the old Rangers Clubhouse (where we currently reside) due for demolition at an unknown future date.
In the meantime, we are active on Community Library Samford fb page, as well as this website, as we begin fund raising to build a place to call home.
Our Building Account now stands at over $10,000, final target to be ascertained in the months ahead, most likely around $300,000.
